Newcastle striker Callum Wilson 'could be sidelined until the end of October' with the quad injury sustained against Southampton last month

Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson has reportedly suffered an injury setback which may not see his return until late October.

The forward came off during Newcastle's disappointing 2-2 draw against Southampton before the international break where he suffered a quad injury.

After the game, Newcastle boss Steve Bruce was hopeful that his star striker would return before the end of September as the club are due to face Tottenham, Crystal Palace and Chelsea before the next international break.
