The Rowe Report: Do not label these Detroit Lions the SOL

That term doesn’t apply here.

FOOTBALL IS BACK! The first Detroit Lions game is in the books. Some of us were realistic about the matchup, while others were a bit more optimistic.

The Lions fell to the San Francisco 49ers with a final score of 41 to 33. Things seemed to be going okay in the first half until they suddenly weren’t. The 49ers began their beatdown and the Lions were booed off the field at halftime at 31 to 10.

But down the stretch, Detroit would rally to score 16 points in just over three minutes. A truly valiant effort. But it wasn’t enough and the Lions would lose.

In this Rowe Report we go over some bright spots, keeping in mind this is a rebuild and we’ve known that. Plus, we discuss Matthew Stafford’s debut. Go off, king.
