Al Pacino, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, and Danny DeVito to Star in Film Noir SNIFF

Oscar winners Morgan Freeman, Al Pacino, Helen Mirren, and Oscar nominee Danny DeVito have signed on to star in the film noir Sniff that was just picked up at the Toronto International Film Festival market. The film will be directed by Oscar winner Taylor Hackford (Ray, An Officer and a Gentleman), from a script by Tom Grey.

In the film, “two residents die under suspicious circumstances in a high-end luxury retirement community. Retired detective Joe Mulwray (Freeman) is pulled back into the action by his former partner William Keys (DeVito), and they uncover a hidden underworld of sex, drugs and murder in the wealthy community controlled by kingpin Harvey Stride (Pacino), and his femme fatale enforcer, The Spider (Mirren). Sniff is an acronym for Senior Nursing Institute & Family Foundation.”

This will be a re-team for Hackford and Pacino, after having worked together on the 1997 film The Devil’s Advocate.

This sounds like a lot of fun! The cast is golden, and the story sounds wild and like it’ll be a blast to watch. Keep an eye out for more info on the film.
