HOBOKEN, N.J – The No. 9 TCNJ women's soccer team improved to 4-0 on the season with a 4-0 win over NYU on Sunday. The Lions captured the Stevens Engineering Cup with the Sunday victory.
Rachel Robichaud got TCNJ on the board first in the 38
th minute. Robichaud tallied her second goal of the year off an assist from
Ava Curtis. TCNJ's second goal of the afternoon came six minutes into the second half by way of
Gianna Coppola. Curtis registered her second assist of the game to set up Coppola.
The Lions continued to pressure NYU, and
Emma Pascarella scored in the 65
th minute.
Gianna Minerva added a goal in the 89
th minute off an
Ariana Jones assist to extend the lead to 4-0.
TCNJ out-shot NYU 20-8. Robichaud was named the Offensive MVP of the Stevens Engineering Cup while
Jess Hall was chosen as the Defensive MVP.
TCNJ resumes play at Widener on Wednesday for a 6:00 p.m. start.
