After carrying two U.S. flags for nearly 3,000 minutes, one for each life lost on 9/11, and climbing 100 flights of stairs to match the number of flights in the Twin Towers, Minot Air Force Base airmen flew to New York City to present the flags to Ladder Company 3 and Amy Davidson.

The flags were folded and cased.

Eleven members of Ladder Company 3, along with Amy Davidson’s late husband, Scott — a firefighter with Ladder 118 — all died 20 years ago on 9/11.
