South Pittsburg High School Head Football Coach Chris Jones resigns

SOUTH PITTSBURG, Tenn. —
South Pittsburg High School Head Football Coach Chris Jones has resigned from coaching duties at the school to take a defensive coordinator job with the Toronto Argonauts, a team in the Canadian Football League, South Pittsburg High Principal Paige Hill confirmed on Monday.

The team will now have two head coaches: Heath Grider and Wesley Stone.
Grider is the brother of former head coach Vic Grider, and he's now the school's athletic director and vice principal.
Stone has been an assistant at the school for 20 years.
The Pirates take on Whitwell this Friday.
Principal Hill says the school will address a permanent replacement for Coach Jones once the season is finished.
