BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) - Eight concession stands at the Buffalo Bills game were cited by the Erie County Department of Health for lack of proper mask use during Sunday's home opener.

The specific stands were not mentioned by the health department. One stand was cited for lack of proper mask usage on a re-check inspection.

"Any potential penalties will be communicated to the permit holder(s) once the reports have been reviewed by our department," a health department spokeswoman said.

Fans are required to wear a mask on the concourse at the stadium. However, most fans did not wear a mask and there was little to no enforcement of the policy at the stadium. Highmark Stadium did, on multiple occasions, remind fans over its public address system that masks were required at those settings.
