Columbia/Boone County health department decreases frequency of COVID-19 vaccination clinics

Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services is hosting the last of its regularly scheduled COVID-19 community vaccination clinics this week.

The department is altering the frequency of its vaccination clinics after Wednesday.

The frequency has been altered due to upcoming annual school-based flu shot clinics. The department will announce any pop-up clinics as they occur and continues to encourage individuals to get the COVID-19 vaccine from other local vaccinators.

The last two clinics this week are scheduled Tuesday and Wednesday. The clinics are walk-in based and no appointments are needed. 

• 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at Midway Travel Plaza; 6401 W. Highway 40, Columbia
• 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Harrisburg Christian Church; 201 Sexton St., Harrisburg

While supplies last, anyone who receives the vaccine will be given a free ticket to Six Flags St. Louis. Individuals can also register for Missouri's vaccine incentive program.

Vaccines are free and do not require insurance. Anyone 12 or older is eligible for Pfizer. Anyone age 18 or older is eligible for Moderna or Johnson & Johnson. Parental consent forms are required for anyone under 18 years old. People who are immunocompromised are able to get their third dose at clinics.
