Webinar helps seniors navigate Medicare enrollment, find the best plan

Every fall, seniors must face the complicated task of researching, comparing and selecting a Medicare plan for the upcoming year. To help them navigate the complexity of Medicare supplemental insurance, Advance Media New York will host a free webinar and Q&A with expert panelists 3 p.m. Oct. 21.

Presented by Excellus, this one-hour virtual event aims to simplify the complex process through interactive information sessions with local Medicare experts.

“Medicare is a difficult process to navigate for seniors and their families,” said Lindsay Marlenga, Senior Director of Marketing at Advance Media New York. “This webinar was designed to provide answers and direction to help navigate the landscape and to find the plan options that fit best with their lifestyle and available resources.”

Topics will be broken down in two sessions and will include:

AEP Basics with panelists Heather Smith of Excellus BCBS and Angela David, independent Medicare Broker.

“Do I Have the Right Plan for Me?” with panelists Heather Smith & Taylor Kuzel of Onondaga County Adult & Long-Term Care Services.

A Q&A session with the panelists will follow each discussion.

“The panelists have a deep understanding of Medicare and the needs of our community,” Marlenga said. “Each of these women come with a different prospective and different client experiences, which make them well equipped to answer any questions our attendees may have regarding Medicare.”
