Misery loves company and if the Atlanta Falcons are looking for anyone as miserable as they are after week one they should look no further than Aaron Rodgers. The Falcons were beaten at home 32-6 by the Eagles.

Rodgers is able to one-up them getting beaten by New Orleans in FOX’s game of the week 38-3 tossing two interceptions in the process. If there is anyone more miserable than the Falcons or their fans it is certainly Rodgers and the Packers.

Rodgers was benched late in the game assumably to protect the quarterback’s health. Rodgers managed a meager 133-passing yard game and failed to mount anything resembling a scoring threat.

Coming off of a loud off-season Rodgers did little to quiet the noise

Rodgers is coming off of an off-season that saw the quarterback as the center of the NFL’s attention. Will he or won’t he come back to Green Bay? That was the question dominating the sports headlines.

Now Rodgers will be in the headlines for less than ideal reasons.  Rodger’s misfortune is Atlanta’s as well since it came at the hands of their hated division rival Saints.

New Orleans looked like a true threat to Tampa in their beatdown of a team that made it all the way to the NFC championship last season.

For Rodgers, the questions are going to begin after his poor performance and a spotlight will be squarely focused on last year’s MVP in week two.

Did the off-season drama take a lot out of Rodgers and the Packers? Or was week one merely a blip on what will be another great season for one of the best to ever do it in Rodgers.

Green Bay is hopeful the latter is the case for a team expected to be one of the few real challengers to Tampa in the NFC.

At least for one week, there is one fanbase as miserable and disappointed as the Atlanta Falcons were in week one.
