o She took to the social media platform to announce her engagement to her long-time boyfriend, Sam Asghari.
o In a new video Asghari and Brit are shown filled with excitement as the singer shows off the new blingy diamond sitting on her finger.
o Asghari shared his own post to celebrate the engagement. As the couple kiss, Brit shows off her new rock, almost as if she is flipping the world the bird. However, she is flipping up her ring finger, not her middle finger.
o The moment feels like Spears is finally getting to make her own choices now that her father, Jamie Spears, has filed to relinquish his control of Britney’s 13-year-long conservatorship.
o The ring is a 4 carat diamond in a platinum cathedral setting with pavé detailing on the bridge and flush set diamonds on the prongs and basket, along with his Sam’s nickname for Britney, “Lioness,” engraved inside the band.

o Last night was the 2021 VMA’s and Madonna kicked things off by welcoming the audience and wishing MTV a happy 40th birthday.
o The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber kicked things off with a performance of “Stay” with Justin then performing “Ghost.”
o Justin went in with seven nominations and he won “Artist of the Year,” and “Best Pop” for “Peaches.”
o Olivia Rodrigo then performed “Good 4 U” and turned around and won Song of the Year, Best New Artist and Best Push Performance for “Driver’s License.”
o And Lil Nas X took home the award of the night and won “Artist of the Year.”

o Survey: There’s going to be a “surge” of cheating this month.
o The dating site Illicit Affairs claims that couples returning from their summer vacations and those wanting to start their post-pandemic life will start straying from their partners this month.
o Their research says that there’s a rise in affairs every autumn but due to the lockdowns and Covid stress, the number will be even higher this year.
o Their survey found that 54% of couples have reassessed their relationship during the pandemic.
o A 34% of women and 32% of men say they feel less passion for their partner after being stuck at home together for so long.

o The chain has banned 120 artificial ingredients from its menu to deliver “real food” to their customers.
o It started yesterday and according to their website 90% of the Burger King permanent food menu in the US is free of colors, flavors, and preservatives from artificial sources.
o They hope to reach 100% by the end of the year.
o And to celebrate, they have three celebrities that have created their own “Keep It Real Meals.”
o Rapper Nelly has “The Cornell Haynes Jr. (his real name) Meal” which is a Whopper with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, mayo and ketchup, small fries and a small Sprite.
o Then there's the Larissa Machado (aka singer Anitta) Meal, which is an Impossible Whopper with lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup and mustard, small fries and a small Sprite.
o And the Chase Hudson (aka Lil Huddy) Meal is a Spicy Ch'King with cheese, 4-piece mozzarella sticks and a 16 oz. chocolate shake.
