38-year-old Canton woman killed in crash Monday morning

CANTON, MI -- A 38-year-old woman is dead and a 46-year-old man was transported to the hospital following an early-morning crash Monday. According to Canton Police, the woman was traveling westbound on Ford Road in a silver BMW when she collided with a red Toyota at the intersection of Canton Center Road.

After hitting the Toyota, the woman crashed into a utility pole. First responders were dispatched to the scene just before 8 a.m. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the male driver of the Toyota suffered non-life threatening injuries. They were the only two people involved in the crash.

The names of the drivers are being withheld at this time.
