A Las Cruces man died after a rollover crash on state road 59 in Sierra County on Saturday.

The crash happened on Saturday at around 4:25 p.m. near milepost 9 west of Winston, New Mexico.

Investigators said a 2004 Ford-250 pickup driven by James D. Lara of Las Cruces, was driving on start road 59.

For unknown reasons the Ford left the roadway and rolled.

Lara was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

Investigators said they believe alcohol might be a factor and seat belts appeared not to have been utilized.

The crash remains under investigation.
