Seems like Conor McGregor forgot him, too

The UFC fighter is claiming that he and musician Machine Gun Kelly didn’t really have any beef despite clashing on the red carpet of MTV’s Video Music Awards (VMAs) Sunday night.

The New York Post reports that while no one really knows how or why the fight started in the first place, the reactions to the clash were certainly explosive.

“They scuffled, then it settled down and Conor went for him again,” told a source to the publication. Another mentioned how “everyone was screaming,”

“[McGregor] was ready to throw fists,’ the second source continued “Security was having trouble holding him back.”

While there’s photographic evidence of the heated altercation occurring between the two, Entertainment Online details how McGregor somehow maintains that nothing happened between them that inspired it.

“Absolutely nothing. I don’t know. He showed up, I don’t know. I don’t know the guy,” responded the Irish native to the website when asked about the altercation.

“Nothing happened with me, I only fight real fighters, people that actually fight, you know what I mean. I certainly don’t fight little vanilla white boy rappers. I don’t even know the guy. I don’t know anything about him, except that he’s with Megan Fox.”

While the exact details behind what sparked the fight to begin with remain unconfirmed, People explains how a source witnessed McGregor ask Kelly—whose real name is Colson Baker—for a photograph. This photo request was then allegedly shot down by Kelly’s team, and the rest is now red carpet history.

Kelly has yet to comment on the fight.
