Shawn Porter says Vitor Belfort is too much for Jake Paul to handle at this point

Porter doesn’t think Paul is polished enough to take a fighter like Belfort right now.

Following Vitor Belfort’s swift destruction of Evander Holyfield in less than one round of work on Saturday night, former welterweight titleholder Shawn Porter give his assesement of the Triller show and what we can look forward to in the future — particularly a potential fight between Belfort and Jake Paul. Speaking to Fight Hub TV, Porter says he’s not sure if Paul is ready for that kind of fight.

“I really do think that he’s got too much heat for Jake Paul,” Porter said. “I think we look at Jake — yes, Jake’s taller, Jake’s long, but Jake doesn’t really know how to use it, not the he would need to against someone like this.

“You got to be able to use your feet, you got to be able to move, hit ‘em, know when you can get in close and grab and clinch and things like that. It’s gonna take a lot to beat someone like Vitor because he’s mentally all the way locked in, and then physically he’s locked in as well. I’m not saying he’s the future of boxing, but for what Triller’s got going on, for this arena, he’s definitely the future of this.”
