Dua Lipa announces her 'Future Nostalgia Tour,' including an Oklahoma show

TULSA — Global pop superstar Dua Lipa is planning a 2022 Oklahoma stop at Tulsa's BOK Center.

The "New Rules" and "Levitating" hitmaker announced Monday the 2022 North American leg of her anticipated "Future Nostalgia Tour" in support of her Grammy Award-winning album of the same name.

"How amazing that we all get to dance and celebrate together once again,” said Lipa in a statement. “When I was writing 'Future Nostalgia,' I imagined the songs being played in clubs on nights out with your mates. I’m so excited that this fantasy is finally coming true."

The three-time Grammy winner's arena tour is slated to make 28 stops across the United States, including her first headline show at Madison Square Garden in New York City and at the Forum in Los Angeles.

The "Future Nostalgia Tour" will stop in Tulsa March 17, 2022, for her BOK Center show, which will feature Caroline Polachek and Megan Thee Stallion.

Tulsa tickets go on sale at noon Sept. 17 and will be available online at www.bokcenter.com. Ticket prices range from $48 to $132.50.

The "Future Nostalgia Tour" will be the first time the English singer and songwriter brings her live vision for her 2020 album to her fans in person. Previously, the superstar connected with fans during her record-smashing live-stream "Studio 2054," which drew more than 5 million viewers during its initial airing and featured special guests Angele, Bad Bunny, Elton John, FKA Twigs, J Balvin, Kylie Minogue, Miley Cyrus and Tainy.

Lipa is already scheduled to tour the European Union in 2022, making this her first world tour run since breaking records during the COVID-19 quarantine with "Future Nostalgia."

Her platinum-certified sophomore album is the longest-running top 10 album by a female artist on the Billboard 200 this year and was the most streamed album of 2020 on Spotify. It landed on several year-end “Best Of” lists and generated multiple worldwide hit singles, including the chart-toppers “Break My Heart,” “Levitating” and “Don’t Start Now.”
