A fan asked Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, if there has been anything regarding CM Punk and Colt Cabana having difficulty working together in AEW. The two used to be friends, but had a falling out after winning a lawsuit against WWE doctor Chris Amann. Cabana sued Punk for fraud, claiming they had a verbal agreement that Punk would compensate him for legal fees and damages. Punk would later file a countersuit, but both lawsuits were eventually dropped.

Meltzer said that there is “nothing there” between the two. He added that while there may be people that aren’t fans of Punk in AEW for whatever reason, there haven’t been any incidents nor will there be. He said that Colt Cabana is a “total pro” and Punk is also a pro, so their past will not be a problem going forward. Meltzer noted that locker rooms always have people with issues working together, citing Kurt Angle and Jeff Jarrett in TNA, who had an issue with each other over Karen Jarrett, but still ended up working matches and angles with one another.
