The New York Mets got the last laugh on Sunday night in the Subway Series against the New York Yankees in one of the craziest games of the season. Francisco Lindor was the star of the show, hitting three home runs and capping it off with a game-winning bomb in the bottom of the 8th just after the benches cleared. Well, in classic Marcus Stroman fashion, the Mets starter made sure to troll the Yanks on Monday morning:

That was Lindor flexing to the Mets bench on his third long ball of the night, where he destroyed a Chad Green offering into the right-field bleachers. By no surprise, the entire series was a heated affair, but Sunday was on another level. It all started when Lindor trolled the Yankees early in the game with a whistle gesture, claiming the Bronx Bombers were relaying pitches with certain sounds on Saturday. The drama followed, with Giancarlo Stanton cranking a game-tying two-run home run in the top of the seventh where he literally stopped mid-trot and started mouthing off Lindor at shortstop. Both benches then made their way onto the field.

No punches were thrown, but there were definitely some emotions running high. Lindor and the Mets ultimately silenced the Yankees though, taking two of three in the series.

Needless to say, postseason baseball can’t come soon enough.
