Pineapple Chili

On-air this morning, Melissa, Austin, and Cort all shared their go-to recipes for when they have to prepare a dish. Note, we've all openly admitted that we are not cooks. Melissa brought her Pineapple Chili to the table, Austin said Ragu Spaghetti, and Cort talked about his Pineapple Bruschetta. Why is pineapple on our minds? So, we opened up the text and phone lines to let YOU decide which recipe you want to hear and the winner is...Melissa's Pineapple Chili. Now, I admit it does sound interested. A blend of flavors you wouldn't expect to see with each other...but that's what makes it great and unique. Here's how you can make Melissa's signature dish:

Ingredients:

-Ground beef/turkey/chicken/pork whatever you like!
-a can of pineapple chunks
-a can of chili beans
-a can of tomatoes w/ chilies
-onions
-celery
-chili powder
-ginger
-salt

What to do:

-turn Insta-pot onto 'saute' and add ground beef, cook for about five minutes (if you use turkey add a tiny bit of oil)
-once the meat is brown, add onion, celery, and garlic and cook for five minutes and turn the pressure cooker off
-add 1 cup of beef broth or water to the instapot and stir well
-then add chili powder, ginger, salt, beans, pineapple, then stir and mix well
finally, add the tomatoes on top of all the other mixed ingredients--but don't stir them in--let them sit on top
-Put the lid on, make sure the sealing ring is in place and the valve is shut.
Set on manual high pressure for 12 minutes and serve
