FSU Game Saturday: FSU vs Wake Forest odds and prediction for NCAA Week 3 game

FSU football will enter week three of the 2021 season on the road with conference matchup against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. This will be the first meeting between FSU and Wake Forest since October 2019, when the Demon Deacons came away with a 22-20 victory.

Wake Forest comes into the game after beating two cupcakes and FSU comes into the game losing to a cupcake.

However, the FSU loss is all on coaching and that’s why the betting line is less than a touchdown.

Wake Forest had a good offense in 2020, but their defense was equally as bad. It’s hard to say how good they are because they haven’t beat anyone of note.  They are a well-coached team that doesn’t beat themselves a lot. They look to win on first and second downs, while keeping third downs manageable. They are converting third downs at 48 percent through two games in 2021.

FSU vs Wake Forest Odds Week 3

The Week 3 betting odds on WynnBET have the Noles as +6.5-point underdogs on the road. The moneyline odds are not available at this time, but the total for the game is set at an over/under of 61.5 points, which implies a 34-28 type of game in favor of Wake Forest.

FSU vs Wake Forest Prediction Week 3

There are several questions going into the game. Which quarterback will start for the Noles? What will be their mentality after the worst loss in ‘Noles history? How will they respond in their first road game experience? If the defense shows up, I think they’ll make it a game. However, the biggest question mark for the Noles is their offense.

I predict the game will be more competitive than most think, but I need to know who the quarterback will be before I can make an official prediction.
