New Inslee Mask Mandate Takes Effect

OLYMPIA, Wash.--A new mask mandate takes effect today for all large outdoor events in the state of Washington. Governor Jay Inslee announced the new mandate Thursday for outdoor gatherings of 500 or more attendees. The mandate applies to everyone ages five and up, regardless of vaccination status. The new rule is an expansion of Inslee's previous mandate requiring facial coverings at all public indoor spaces regardless of vaccination status.
