I thought is was poorly done and the acting was pretty average. The other siege storyline with Cameron in the pub was better

It was unnecessary. Like so much else in Emmerdale these days. A mere plot device to get Vic and David sharing their feelings for each other, which we knew they’d be getting together anyway.
As for Wendy and her ex....less said about them the better.
The siege added nothing but extra shouting.

It was pretty weak. The villain was not really very menacing and his motives hadn't really been very well fleshed out. The acting was laughable in places and I found myself not invested at all in it. There was not really any peril involved, I never believed that David or Victoria were going to be killed off . . maybe Wendy might have been bumped off, or the expendable husband. It was prety much a damp squib to push the David / Victoria relationship and to introduce friction with Wendy ( who I imagine is soon to flee the village and leave the scene ).

    Not good.

If nothing else we discovered that Wendy's bad crying has got a whole lot worse - her wimpering, gurning face is just painful to watch, perhaps she should have been shot

It bought much younger people to the front David and Thictoria together and damage to a fire Bottle, most people turned off.

I didn't quite understand what good it would do to have the money transferred to his account when the police were waiting outside. He knew they had been called but just stayed there.

    As if.

I’ve been told by my lawyer that I’m not allowed to discuss the siege storyline, since I’m being sued over the email I recently sent to the writers.

Freedom of speech is dead. Can’t even send threatening emails anymore 🙄

Load of shit! It was like poor re-enactment of the one with Cameron when David finally realised his feelings for Alicia while he was with Priya, only this time it was him with a bullet in his torso and Vic the object of his desire when he's supposed to be with Meena.
Which brings me onto what is Meena going to do when she comes back to find a wounded David. will she blame Vic and set about trying to bump her off again or will she get revenge on Wendy as I assume Russ is in custody? (I wasn't paying much attention so not sure what happened to him).

Out of the two I'd say Wendy is more expendable so likely to be the next inline to fall victim to menacing Meena 🙄🤣

Anything with Hotty Cam is automatically a million times better!😍

Ahem, to be serious tho I actually think it's an insult to even mention the "Russ Siege" within the same sentence as the "Cameron Siege" since the latter was actually really good unlike the former!

This recent siege was just cringe and embarrassing to watch not to mention I really didn't give a shite about any of the characters involved at all unlike the Cameron version when I actually DID care about the characters once upon a time (which makes it even more ironic considering David was a hostage victim in both😜 )!

Whilst I know you're joking but did someone actually do that and then had the gall to portray themself as "the victim"? :/

Reminds me of the amount of times I've seen someone on Twitter crying about being blocked by a Celeb by claiming "I...I don't understand, all I did was ask them a simple question..." and then when you go to see what their so-called "simple question" was...it's ALWAYS one of the most obnoxious, rudely worded question you can find clearly intended to provoke and hurt, oh geez I really wonder why that Celeb blocked you...IDIOT!🙄

Unnecessary was the first word I thought of to describe it too. And I've still been enjoying Emmerdale a lot lately but the introduction of Russ and this forgettable blip of a 'storyline' was possibly one of the most un-interesting events in the show this year. Added absolutely nothing.

And it's nothing more than a big fat smelly fart in the room and that's how I shall remember it. ;)

Oh dear, may I ask what the contents of the email said, im me if you prefer, I am not sure I can justify threats made to writers of a fictional TV drama series.
