It is that time of the year again where the Milwaukee Bucks get disrespected in the latest edition of the best-selling NBA 2K video game series.

The ratings have been a hot topic of discussion among the fandom, notably with the team’s trio, who are being rated rather low for a group that just won the title. Controversy is bound to follow following the release of the game like clockwork, but ultimately, if a player receives a rating that is too low, the beauty in it is that they will have a chance to raise it as the new season progresses.

After looking at the individual ratings for the 2021-22 Bucks, there are several standout players that could certainly raise their rating. Whether it be because of their role, fit, circumstance, or just because they are rated too low in the first place, here are three Bucks that will see their rating go up in the coming months.

Milwaukee Bucks: Rodney Hood will increase his NBA 2K22 rating

It is somewhat surprising to see that Rodney Hood is the 12th ranked player on Milwaukee’s 2K22 roster, with the trio of Thanasis Antetokounmpo, Elijah Bryant, and Mamadi Diakite being the only players with a lower rating. After the least productive season of his career in 2020-21, Hood finds himself with a 72 overall rating, which is undoubtedly has a chance to bump up if he finds a groove with the Bucks.

First and foremost, Hood will have to be healthy to raise his rating. He has endured a severe case of the injury bug over the past two seasons, which has clearly limited his availability and plagued his production. Essentially signing a one-year “prove it” deal with Milwaukee in the offseason, this year will be all about working his way back into form and showing that he can still be a solid scorer in this league. After all, he has averaged double figures in five of his seven NBA seasons, with exceptions being last year and his rookie campaign.

This move has potential written all over it for the Bucks because if Hood is back up to par, he will give them a massive lift with their second unit scoring following the departure of Bryn Forbes. If Hood can find some stability in the lineup after battling through Achillies, hand, and hip injuries in the past two years, then there is no reason he could not be a double-digit scorer off the bench in 2021-22. If that comes to fruition, Hood will surely see that 72 rating increase rather quickly.
