Froggy is the Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society’s pet of the week. (photo courtesy of the Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society)

Hi, I’m Froggy, and I’ll hippity-hop right into your heart!

I may be little, but I’m full of pep and love to wrestle with toys twice my size! I love affection, but I’m timid with people at first (the world is so much bigger than me). I need someone with dog experience, patience and who’ll slowly introduce me to new things. Also, my home should be adults-only. With the right guidance and gentle care, it won’t take long for me to stick to you like glue — I can’t wait! To learn more, visit the Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society (BEBHS) online at berkeleyhumane.org/adoptable_dogs/froggy.

Baloo is the pet of the week at the East Bay SPCA, Oakland. (photo courtesy of the East Bay SPCA, Oakland)

Hi there, I’m Baloo, a fluffy, quiet, soft, warm and cozy cat — kinda like a blanket. Or a cloud. Or a cup of hot chocolate. I’m looking for a best friend to spend my days with who has a quiet home, some quality cat treats and a lap to share. If that’s you, can we meet? For an application to adopt me, a 3-year-old male domestic shorthair, from the East Bay SPCA, Oakland (EBSPCA), visit eastbayspca.org/adoptions/how-to-adopt-2.

Gromet is Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter’s pet of the week. (photo courtesy of Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter)

Gromet is the perfect little dog, sweet and easy-going, great on leash, friendly toward other dogs and probably fine with cats and kids. He enjoys going for walks but is also happy to curl up in your lap. He weighs 20 pounds, is 7 years old and has the softest floppy little ears. Apply to meet this pet at Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS) by filling out an application at AlamedaAnimalShelter.org.

Izzy is the pet of the week with Community Concern for Cats. (photo courtesy of Community Concern for Cats)

Izzy is a purr-fectly devoted kitty that will bring delight and affection to her forever home. She seeks her foster mom out with tiny meows and chirps, then snuggles and purrs once she has found her. To meet this lovebug, contact Loana at loc1424@yahoo.com. Community Concern for Cats’ (CC4C) adoption events on weekends are from 1 to 4 p.m. at 1250-H Newell Ave. in Walnut Creek. We also conduct virtual adoptions, and many of our adoptable cats can be seen online at communityconcernforcats.org.

Mammoth and Wildfire are Milo Point Richmond’s pets of the week. (photo courtesy of the Milo Foundation)

Meet 4-month-old siblings Mammoth and Wildfire. These super-chill kitties are ready to live a life of scampering, lying in the sun and cuddling. They’re very friendly with other cats, so they’d love to be adopted together or go to a home with another friendly cat. Milo Point Richmond’s dedicated staff at 220 S. Garrard Blvd. in Richmond is on duty every day caring for our animals. Contact us for assistance from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. any day except Tuesdays and see more pets on our website at milofoundation.org. We’ve saved more than 35,000 lives in 25 years.

Cloud and Storm are the Contra Costa SPCA’s pets of the week. (photo courtesy of the Contra Costa SPCA)

These 4-month old brothers are Cloud and Storm. Storm has beautiful long hair, and Cloud is just plain special. They’re playful, loving and when they were with their foster they would lay on the end of the bed and watch animal shows. Batting toy mice back and forth to each other is one of their favorite activities. They’re good with other cats and love being held. Please come see them at Petco, 1150 Concord Ave. in Concord. For more information about these or any other Contra Costa SPCA (CCSPCA) pets, call Pat at 925-323-0667.
