By now, it's no secret that Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler likes to work on his game. In his very first season in South Beach, he made this known immediately after practicing as early as 3:30 a.m. and challenging his teammates to join him.

After a mediocre stint last season, which saw them get bounced off in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, Butler is on a mission to carry the Heat back to the NBA Finals. In the last few seasons, one of the major criticisms of his game is his lack of a consistent outside shot. While he can definitely make three-pointers, some have observed that he's not attempting them as much as he needs to, especially with how the game is played these days.

But based on a recent workout video, it seems Butler has improved on his stroke and more importantly perhaps, his confidence to let it fly. In the final few seconds of the clip, he even gave a nod to Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard by doing his trademark Dame Time pose.

Butler surely channeled his inner Lillard with his accuracy from beyond the arc. His three-point percentage, however, has regressed in the last few seasons. In 2020-21, he shot an atrocious 24.5 percent from deep. For the optimistic Heat fans, it's an improvement from Butler's clip two years ago: 24.4 percent.

Jimmy Butler, who recently sparked rumors after selling his mansion in Miami, looks pumped up for the upcoming season. Let's see if Damian Lillard namedrops the Heat star in one of his rap verses.
