Orlando man dies after running stop sign, hitting SVU before crashing into tree, troopers say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash Saturday night in Orange County.

The crash happened at around 11:30 p.m. on Caneel Bay Boulevard near Wyndham Lakes Boulevard.

Troopers said a 32-year-old Orlando man in a sedan drove through a stop sign and hit a 42-year-old Orlando man in an SUV at the intersection.

The SUV overturned and hit a brick wall, according to a report.

Troopers said the driver of the sedan then hit a tree and died at the scene.

The other driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
