Scouting Nebraska

► Record: 2-1

► Best player: Adrian Martinez does it all for the Cornhuskers’ offense. The junior quarterback is averaging 242.7 passing yards, 85.3 rushing yards and 2.3 total touchdowns per contest. He leads Nebraska in both passing yards and rushing yards.

► The case for Nebraska: OU struggled to contain Tulane quarterback Michael Pratt, so keeping Martinez under wraps will be an even tougher task. Nebraska’s defense also looked sound against a sneaky-good Buffalo team in Week 2, holding the Bulls to just three points.

► The case for Oklahoma: Even though it was against an FCS opponent, OU looked sharp in its win over Western Carolina. Spencer Rattler racked up five passing touchdowns in two quarters, Eric Gray did a much better job of finding holes in the run game and the defense forced three takeaways. If the Sooners can build off this momentum, they’ll come out on top on Saturday.
