HOUSTON -- Texans defensive tackle Vincent Taylor was carted off the field in the fourth quarter of Sunday's season-opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars at NRG Stadium.

The exact details and severity of the injury were not immediately clear, but Taylor was seen on the ground being tended to by medical personnel at the 20-yard line before a cart was brought out to take him off the field.

Taylor had two tackles for the game in which Houston's defense dominated Jacksonville's offense, forcing three turnovers on interceptions by safety Justin Reid, cornerback Vernon Hargreaves II and linebacker Christian Kirksey.

The Texans lead the Jaguars 37-14 in the fourth quarter.
