CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Donated school supplies for Waverly Elementary, which was devastated by the Aug. 21 flood, filled the hallways at 5 Star Media Group in Clarksville last week and are now safely stored in Humphreys County, ready for the kids and teachers when they return.

The school supply drive, called Clarksville Cares for Waverly Elementary School, set up in coordination with Humphreys County Emergency Management Agency, included in-person collection events at F&M BankMiss Lucille’sFurniture Connection and Whitt’s Barbecue in Clarksville. Tony Owens, owner of Gifted Vision, volunteered a truck to get the school supplies delivered to Waverly.
