In desperate need of a win last night, the Phillies got their ace to throw an ace-like game and got their MVP candidate to help the offense deliver. Today, they’ll need Aaron Nola to give them something - anything - resembling a good performance.
This offseason, when we post our postseason grades for each player, let’s just say that we won’t be kind to Nola. He hasn’t deserved it. “Inconsistent” would be a kind way of putting it. However, he’s still this team’s #2 starter and they need him to pitch like one today. They have to remain close to Atlanta going into the next two weeks worth of games and it starts with Nola’s start today.
Here are the lineups. For the Phillies:

Like I said, Nola needs to start off these two weeks with a solid start.
