Report: Texans want six-piece package of players, picks for Deshaun Watson

The Houston Texans have a hefty asking price for veteran quarterback Deshaun Watson.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Texans asked teams for a six-piece package of players and draft picks to trade their franchise quarterback during the offseason.

A package could reportedly include one player and five picks or two players and four draft selections, Schefter adds. However, the Texans were not interested in moving off that stance.

Watson is currently facing 22 civil lawsuits from women alleging sexual assault and inappropriate behavior. Ten of those women have also filed criminal complaints against the three-time Pro Bowler.

No team is interested in meeting Houston's asking price for Watson unless conditions are attached to draft picks included in a deal due to the quarterback's legal issues, Schefter adds.

Watson asked for a trade from the Texans in January. Yahoo Sports' senior NFL reporter Charles Robinson reported last month that the Miami Dolphins were the front-runner for the Clemson product, but the franchise has been committed to Tua Tagovailoa thus far.

The Texans plan to start Tyrod Taylor this season and make Watson a healthy scratch due to his ongoing legal situation and unhappiness in Houston.

Watson led the NFL in passing last season with 4,823 yards and tossed 33 touchdowns against seven interceptions. He signed a four-year, $156-million extension last September and will make $10.5 million in salary this season even if he does not play.
