WASHINGTON, D.C. (WKRC/CNN Newsource) - The US Capitol police announced disciplinary action has been recommended in six cases against officers for actions during the January 6th Capitol breach.
It comes after an internal investigation was launched.
The violations include three cases for conduct unbecoming, one for failure to comply with directives, one for improper remarks, and one for improper dissemination of information.
It's unclear if the six cases involved six separate officers.
A seventh case involving an official accused of unsatisfactory performance and conduct unbecoming remains pending.
Capitol police say their office of professional responsibility launched 38 internal investigations, and identified the officers involved in 26 of those cases.
No wrongdoing was found in 20 of the cases.
Capitol police gave the justice department information on the cases as part of discovery in the prosecution of the breach participants.
The US attorney's office did not find enough evidence that any officers committed a crime.
