Ranking the top 10 small forwards heading into the 2021-22 NBA season. 

The small forward position used to be considered the marquee position in the NBA. Even though now that’s probably the guard position in today’s game, the league is still driven by dynamic wing scorers.

As we head into the new season, we rank the top 10 small forwards. We begin with an honorable mention, who we couldn’t rank fairly due to an injury that could keep him out through the 2021-22 season.

Honorable mention: Kawhi Leonard, LA Clippers

When he’s healthy and playing at the top of his game, there’s no question that Kawhi Leonard is one of the top 10 small forwards in the league. He’s one of the best wing defenders and is coming off three-straight MVP-level seasons since his quad injury. If he can bounce back from this significant knee injury, he should be back in the top 10 when he’s healthy
