Eagles Close Out Non-Conference Play Against Crusaders

BC will host Holy Cross on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Newton Campus Soccer Field.

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's soccer team will close out non-conference play on Sunday afternoon, hosting Holy Cross at the Newton Campus Soccer Field. The match, which is set for a 1 p.m. start, will air live on ACCNX, which streams live on the ESPN App.

• Move Boston College to 6-1-1 on the year.

ABOUT HOLY CROSS
• Holy Cross enters Sunday's game with a record of 1-6-0 ... the Crusaders last played on Thursday night, falling to Rhode Island, 1-0.
• The Crusaders picked up a  3-0 win over Bryant on Sept. 5.
• Colleen McIlvenna and Katie Quinn both have two goals each for Holy Cross while Samantha Adams and Ashley Blaka have chipped in one goal and one assist each.
• Olivia Dubin has played the majority of minutes in goal for the Crusaders, posting a 2.47 goals against average and .742 save percentage.
 
SERIES HISTORY VS HOLY CROSS
• This is the first meeting between Boston College and Holy Cross since Sept. 9, 2009 ... the Eagles won that game in Newton, 4-0.
• The first-ever meeting between the Crusaders and Eagles came on Sept. 28, 1983 ... BC earned a 5-0 home win.
• BC is unbeaten in the series, holding an overall mark of 19-0-0, including a 10-0-0 mark at home.

LAST TIME OUT
• Boston College made the short trip to Harvard on Thursday night ... the teams battled to a 3-3 overtime tie.
• A scoreless first half gave way to the teams combining for six goals over a 25-minute span ... Harvard took a pair of one-goal leads only to see Ella Richards even the Eagles both times ... Jenna Bike's shot in the 69th minute gave BC a 3-2 lead but Harvard equalized in the 75th.
• Wiebke Willebrandt made a season-high 11 saves for the Eagles ... the 11 saves tied for the ninth-most in a single game for BC and she was the first goalkeeper to do it since Jillian Mastroianni against UNC on Nov 6, 2009.
