HECO crews investigating cause of Waianae power outage

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Crews with the Hawaiian Electric Company (HECO) responded to a power outage in the Waianae area on Saturday, Sept. 11.

A HECO representative said power was restored for all customers that were affected as of 3:36 p.m., and the cause of the outage is still under investigation.

The outage was first reported at around 1:48 p.m., and a HECO representative confirmed that a little under 2,000 customers were initially affected.
