Collin Sexton was expected to become the future star of the Cleveland Cavaliers once LeBron James left the franchise in 2018. The guard has tried his best, having good performances in the past couple of seasons. Yet, the Cavs are unable to compete in the Eastern Conference.

Sexton learned that the situation with the team wasn't the best as soon as he arrived in the city. The young player worked out for them just one day after they got swept in the 2018 NBA Finals, realizing how hard things were.

Talking with Kicks, the 22-year-old revealed that his first workout with the team had a weird vibe since they just lost to the Golden State Warriors in the Finals, so the mood was anything but happy.

"They had just lost the Finals the day before I worked out for them. It was all bad in there. Everyone was crying," Sexton revealed.

It seems like the Cavaliers liked his energy, as they took him 8th overall in the 2018 NBA Draft. The combo guard has been trying to lift the team's level for the past three years, but things haven't gone in their favor.

Sexton has been linked with a move away from the Cavs this offseason, but nothing is official yet. He'll try to take this team to the next level alongside other promising young players, including Evan Mobley and Darius Garland.
