Tyrese Haliburton's name has been thrown in a lot of fake trade proposals for the Sacramento Kings to land Ben Simmons, and by now, the youngster is just laughing at those talks.

After Simmons made his desire to be traded known to the Philadelphia 76ers, several teams have been linked with a potential trade for him, including the Portland Trail Blazers and Golden State Warriors. Interestingly, the Kings have also been tagged as one 0f the favorites to land the Australian playmaker, thanks to a number of assets they can use to make a move for Simmons.

As usual, the rumor mill went to work and several fans and people in the media came up with the Kings' possible proposals–which, as mentioned, included Haliburton.

After reports claimed the Kings are unwilling to part ways with De'Aaron Fox or Haliburton in any deal for Simmons, Tyrese himself pointed out he doesn't think it's realistic (via JJ Redick's The Old Man & the Three Podcast)

“I kind of just laugh about it,” Haliburton said on the Simmons trade rumors, per NBC Sports. “I don’t really think it’s that realistic. I don’t see it happening.”

For what it's worth, though, Tyrese Haliburton highlighted it's only his personal opinion and not the stance of the Kings. He then explained his belief that no one is untouchable in the NBA.

“I don’t think anyone is untouchable, by any means. But I don’t have time to overreact or think super deeply about it. I take care of what I can,” he added.

True enough, the NBA is still a business and teams will do what they believe is best for their respective franchises–be it trade a promising rookie or a loyal veteran. Nonetheless, it does look like the Kings have high hopes that Haliburton can be the future face of Sacramento.
