Borussia Dortmund superstar forward Erling Haaland just can not stop scoring.

Haaland is off to one impressive start to the 2021-2022 season with Dortmund, as he has scored eight goals in all competitions. The Norwegian striker has notched five goals in Bundesliga play this season, which currently has him in second place behind Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski (six) for the league lead.

Two of Haaland's eight goals so far this season came in Dortmund’s dramatic 4-3 win over Bayer Leverkusen — an early season showdown in which the rising star forward simply had his way over the course of this match.

For the moment, Haaland has scored an astounding 45 goals over 47 career Bundesliga appearances, which tops out for an impressive 0.96 goals per game average.

At this rate, Haaland is well on par to reach 50 career Bundesliga goals later this month. More so, he is projected to shatter the record for fastest to score 50 Bundesliga goals with one club.

Lewandowski currently holds this record, as he reached 50 goals over his opening 64 career appearances in the Bundesliga. He clinched this record following his notable hat-trick performance against Werder Bremen over the 2016-2017 campaign.

Unless Haaland goes off on one sluggish run of performances, the Borussia Dortmund star should soon break this record with ease.

From the multitude of game-winning goals to the key scores against Bayern Munich, Haaland has already established his place as one of the more efficient goal-scorers in Bundesliga history—and this is saying much as he is currently in just his third season in Germany’s top flight.

For now, Haaland will look to help Dortmund build on its promising start to the league season. Dortmund currently sits in third place in the league standings with nine points. The side will have key matchups upcoming in league play, which include the away showdown against Borussia Monchengladbach coming later this month.
