USC basketball battles UCLA and Arizona for 2023 5-star point guard

Thursday marked the start of a new recruiting period in college basketball. Coaches were able to go out and meet with prospects they are pursuing. Coaches across the country made trips to visit recruits. They watched some open practices at their respective high schools if available.

That included USC head coach Andy Enfield.

The USC staff was one of many programs that was out to visit 2023 five-star point guard Kylan Boswell on Thursday, a Corona native who is becoming a big target for the Trojans in the 2023 class. Boswell could be the guy who carries the torch for the program after Ethan Anderson moves to the pros. That is the possible line of succession for the Men of Troy.

Boswell has a total of 15 offers and the interest levels are still picking up. It currently looks like this could be a West Coast battle. Arizona, UNLV, and UCLA are among the teams out to watch him:

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Boswell is ranked No. 14 nationally, the No. 4 point guard, and the No. 1 player in the state of California per the 247Sports recruiting rankings. He’s a big-time prospect who would be a huge get for Enfield in his 2023 class.

The competition, however, is formidable; this won’t be easy. We will keep an eye on Boswell and USC’s involvement. This recruitment doesn’t appear to be anywhere close to over.
