Against the spread
SOUTH ALABAMA -13.5 (-120) is a very attractive line. The public has been playing Bowling Green and has driven the line down a full point. That’s even more reason to like the visitors, as the public rarely gets it right.
USA dominated a decent Conference USA team last weekend, and BGSU showed no signs of life on offense in Knoxville. Look for the former SEC quarterback Bentley to have another fine performance against an overwhelmed foe.
Over/Under
UNDER 47.5 (-115) is the play, ever so slightly. Bowling Green managed just 6 points last weekend, while South Alabama allowed just 7. Expect the hard times to continue for the Falcons.
I like what I saw from the Jags against USM but Bowling Green did well enough in Tennessee defensively. I don’t think the Jaguars hit the 40s, so lean Under.
