Who will lead the Bengals in receiving yards?

The Cincinnati Bengals are set to have one of the most dynamic receiving corps in the league.

Last season, for the first couple of months of the season, their offense looked great. The record, which was held back by them losing many one-score games, didn’t reflex how well they had played.

With Joe Burrow back this season and at full strength, the offense is set to reach that level again, and it should blast right through its ceiling from a season ago. An improved offensive line and Ja’Marr Chase will give that’s expectations.

The Bengals will have five major receiving threats this season with really just three that should be at the top of the team in yardage. Joe Mixon, who is a capable receiving back, is one of them, as is tight end C.J. Uzomah.

The real threats as the team’s top-three wide receivers: Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd and Ja’Marr Chase.

Chase may have a great season, but the preseason didn’t reflect that.

After 20 touchdowns on 84 receptions alongside Burrow as a sophomore at LSU, Chase should be able to flourish with his collegiate quarterback, but four drops in five preseason targets made some question.

Chase should be the No. 3 receiver in a three-receiver-set heavy offense. The top weapons are Higgins and Boyd, but all three should get targets and have a chance to lead the team, especially the duo with NFL experience.

Higgins is entering his second season after being the team’s second-round pick a season ago. The 6-foot-4 receiver hit 908 yards as a rookie and should be on pace to crack four digits during his second campaign. He had 67 receptions on 108 targets.

Widely considered one of the best slot receivers in the NFL, Boyd is coming off an 841-yard season. He started 8 games and played in 15. Boyd snapped a two-year streak of hitting 1,000 yards and should easily be able to get back to that level.

Knowing how each of the three will look coming into the new season, it’s time for you to tell us who you think will lead the team in receiving. In my opinion, it will be Higgins, but there’s a case for all three.
