Dog Pulls Knife on Woman in Shocking Video

A video showing a dog's reaction to his owner pretending to pass out has gone viral.

No, this isn't a clip of a doting service dog's lifesaving skills—the video has surpassed 8.4 million views because the pet decides to fetch a large knife and purportedly "stab" his owner.

In the clip, posted by a woman named Haley to her account Thedeeckendogs, we can see her standing in her kitchen next to her dog Dunkin.

She then proceeds to sit down on the floor and simulate a choking sound as the text overlaying the video reads: "Seeing what my dog would do if I choked."

Haley then lies on her side, as if unconscious and the dog bounds over to inspect her as the words state: "Stop playing. I said stop playing you sock. Aight I'm getting the slicer."

Next, the animal walks around the kitchen and comes back with a knife between his teeth.

Haley springs up in alarm, shouting: "You stabbed me f***king son of a b***h."

She then backs away as Dunkin follows her slowly with the knife, before she manages to grab it off him.

She captioned the surprising video, which can be watched here, writing: "Why he WHIP IT OUT LIKE THAT #ShowYourGlow #foryou #foryoupage #36SecondsOfLightWork #makemefamous."

Although the clip may be alarming to some, Haley actually works as a dog trainer so Dunkin's actions were guided by her.

The clip has gained lots of traction online since it was posted on September 10, having been liked by a whopping 1.8 people.

More than 28,000 comments have been left beneath the video, with many people sharing their surprise at the dog's actions.

One TikTok user, McKayla, wrote: "Sorry I can't come into work today my dog stabbed me with a knife."

Another person, Jalen Scott, added: "Marley and Me hood version."

Puddin Cup stated: "Odds of being shanked by your dog is rare... but never zero," alongside a string of laughing-face emoji.

Marvin Bland joked: "As your husband is leaf away in handcuffs. I swear it wasn't me! The dog! it was the dog that killed her not meeee!"

Emily observed: "He said I'll give you something to die about."

Gwen Love commented: "ER nurse: how did this happen? You: my dog see he umm had a umm well grabbed a knife..."

However, many believed that the dog was handed the knife by a person, including Coldertino who wrote: "Where did he get the knife tho? Where is the dog-level knife drawer."

In response to this Haley made a follow-up video showing that there is a shelf with chopping boards and a blunt knife easily accessible around the corner.

She then shows that all she has to say is "b**tches are talking shit" and the dog rounds to collect the knife, describing it as a great party trick "when you don't want to talk to people."

Newsweek has contacted Haley for comment.
