Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is ready to for Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns at Arrowhead.

Playing meaningful football in front of packed stadiums was taken for granted by many around the NFL, but after it was stripped of us last season, it’s safe to say the game’s finest are ready to go for Week 1.

For the Kansas City Chiefs, a challenge awaits in the upstart Cleveland Browns. The Browns made the divisional round last year before falling to these Chiefs, and they only got better this offseason with the addition of Jadeveon Clowney and others. While it’s been a quiet offseason in Cleveland as per the usual chatter, expect them to make plenty of noise on the field.

Still, the Chiefs are favored at home in the season-opener, which shouldn’t come as a major surprise. Patrick Mahomes’ tweet should get fans fired up for what they hope is a one-way ticket to 1-0 on Sunday.

Kansas City Chiefs expected to be even better than last season

If you can believe it, the Chiefs actually improved heading into 2021. Representing the AFC in the Super Bowl is no easy feat, but doing so without much of an offensive line is downright near impossible for any team that doesn’t feature Mahomes behind center.

Kansas City brought in the likes of Joe Thuney and Orlando Brown to better protect their franchise signal-caller for years to come.

If the Chiefs had a weakness, it’s gone now.
