Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street has revealed that Zeedan Nazir will make his cobbles comeback next week, but sister Alya Nazir is "a bit annoyed to see him" at first.

In scenes to air next week, excited Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) will announce that Zeedan, who was last seen on the cobbles in 2018, is coming to stay for her birthday.

Alya actress Sair Khan said that although Alya misses him a lot, she isn't impressed he's only showing up on birthdays and special occasions.

"Alya's a bit annoyed with Zeedan, we all know a lot has happened in the last few months with Geoff and Yasmeen, her split with Ryan, and family has been the focus of Alya's life for a long long time," she said.

"She thought that family was a big part of Zeedan's life as well but he just left three years ago and is at the stage where he's barely keeping in contact with the family so I think that's wound Alya up the wrong way."

He turns up at the complete right time though as Alya makes a big mistake at work and needs a helping out, and she's very shocked when he announces he can lend the business £50,000.

"There are definitely alarm bells ringing, all of a sudden he's got £50,000 in his pocket which means as a family they haven't been privy to his business successes and it just goes back to how distant he's been over the last few years," Sair explained.

"He's been holding his cards very close to his chest but as the story unfolds we'll see why he hasn't been so forthcoming about what's been going on in his personal life."

Later, Zeedan is attacked and Alya is completely shocked but decides to try and get to the bottom of the attack. However, it isn't long before she starts adding it all up and things don't quite make sense.

"Obviously, there's always random attacks but there seems to be reason and motive here and that's what she's trying to find out. She's trying to fact find and when he has no answers for her then that's the thing that ignites her suspicion and makes her wonder if he's really telling the truth," Sair said.

The actor called Zeedan "trouble", but admits it isn't all his fault and things have just really got out of hand and is "now a bit out of control".

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
