Through 3 Quarters

Down six at the end of last quarter, the Texas Tech Red Raiders have now snagged the lead. Sitting on a score of 21-13, they have looked like the better squad out there today, but there's still one more quarter to play.

Both the Red Raiders and the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks padded the win column in their previous outings. After we'll see if Texas Tech has enough left in the tank to claim the win or if Stephen F. Austin will come out on top yet again.

What to Know

The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks will take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders at 7 p.m. ET Saturday at Jones AT&T Stadium. Stephen F. Austin will be seeking to avenge the 69-17 loss they suffered the last time these two teams played Sept. 3 of 2016.

The Lumberjacks had a touchdown and change to spare in a 20-10 win over the Tarleton State Texans last week.

Meanwhile, Texas Tech had enough points to win and then some against the Houston Cougars last week, taking their game 38-21. The victory came about thanks to a strong surge after the first quarter to overcome a 14 to nothing deficit. Texas Tech's RB Tahj Brooks was one of the most active players for the squad, rushing for two TDs and 134 yards on 15 carries.

The Red Raiders' defense was a presence as well, as it collected four interceptions. Those interceptions were spread across their defensive unit.

Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-0. Watch the contest and check back on CBS Sports to find out who keeps up the positive energy and who hits a stumbling block.
