Tonight's Coronation Street (September 10) saw the culmination of Corey Brent and Kelly Neelan's murder trial, with the verdicts being revealed.

In a shocking turn of events, Kelly was declared guilty, while Corey received an innocent verdict.

Corey and Kelly were on trial for the murder of Seb Franklin and flashback scenes had previously revealed that it was Corey who attacked Seb, while Kelly had tried to hold him back.

On the day of the verdict, as Kelly and Imran waited, Abi was nowhere to be found, with Kevin desperately looking for her.

Abi had gone to see Corey's father Stefan to try and prove that he knew his son was guilty and that he had bribed a witness. However, it wasn't long before the police arrived and took Abi away for trespassing.

After being released, Abi rushed to the courthouse to hear the verdicts but she was too late.

When she got outside the courtroom she saw Corey celebrating with his father and as Stefan took him away, Corey turned and winked at Abi.

With the news of Kelly's guilty verdict, the whole street was in shock. Nina was devastated, while Simon was angry and blamed Imran for not doing a good enough job.

In the street, Imran went to see a visibly upset Abi but she told him he had put all his efforts into trying to get Kelly freed instead of getting Corey sent to prison.

Sabeen then appeared and tried to apologise to Abi but she said their actions in court had made Seb's life seem worthless.

Abi then asked Sabeen for cocaine, saying she now has no good reason to stay sober but Sabeen ignored her request.

Sabeen and Imran then went to have a drink together where she offered him her place to stay if he wanted "an escape".

Later, after Imran spoke to Abi again, Sabeen pulled up in a taxi and Imran appeared to get in and drive off with her.

Meanwhile, at home, while Toyah was waiting for Imran, she received a call saying Kelly had attempted suicide in prison.
