Over 400 Tri-Cities area residents have died from complications due to COVID

TRI-CITIES -- The Benton-Franklin Health District announced that 11 more people in the Tri-Cities area have passed away due to COVID-19.

Officials say there have now been 402 confirmed deaths due to COVID-19 in our community.
The health district reported eight recent deaths in Benton County. One of the recent deaths was a woman in her 40s.
In Franklin County, the health district reported three recent deaths. All of the patients were in their 70s or 80s.
There were 102 new cases of coronavirus announced in the Tri-Cities area Friday, September 10, 2021.
72 new cases of coronavirus were announced in Benton County. 30 new cases of coronavirus were announced in Franklin County.

There are currently 118 patients with COVID-19 in area hospitals.
