Southeast Iowa teen accused of providing LSD to juveniles

HENRY COUNTY, Iowa —

A southeast Iowa teen is facing felony drug related charges.

On Monday, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Iowa State Patrol investigated an incident in Salem, Iowa, where it was found that several juveniles had consumed ‘ACID’ or LSD.

The investigation was started following a vehicle crash.

On Friday, a search warrant was executed in the 400 block of North Golfview Place in Winfield, Iowa.

Matthew Puumala, 19, of Winfield, was arrested and charged with delivery of LSD, a Class B felony, possession with intent to deliver LSD, a Class B felony, failure to affix drug tax stamp, a Class D felony, and possession with intent to deliver marijuana, a Class D felony.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Winfield Police Department, Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa State Patrol.
