Why did Gwen Stefani leave The Voice?

After The Voice season 24 concluded, it was revealed Gwen Stefani was not returning for the following season.

Her departure was due to her plans to focus on new music.

The No Doubt frontwoman explained to ET: "I've been working on this for a long time.

"I'm actually putting out music, so I'm excited about that.

"I've finally landed in that place where I'm obsessed, where I can't stop listening, so I feel like I'm somewhere.

"It's still so exciting and magical. I'm just trying to find like little pockets of time to make music and it still never gets old."

Gwen added: "I feel sad and excited at the same time.

"This season has so many incredible singers and I had such an amazing team of amazing people.

How many times did Gwen return to The Voice?

Since first appearing in The Voice's 7th season, Gwen has returned to the series six times.

She came back to the judges' table for seasons 9, 12, 17, 19, 22, and 24.

Although she's not back for season 25, the panel is continued by John Legend, Reba McEntire, Chance the Rapper, and Dan + Shay.

On February 26, 2024, The Voice's 25th season is scheduled to premiere at 8 pm EST via NBC.

Every Monday and Tuesday, new episodes air at the abovementioned timeslot.

Following its cable premiere, new episodes are available to stream on Peacock, Fubo, and Hulu.

Which season of The Voice did Gwen win?

Out of her seven seasons as a coach, Gwen has won one time.

In season 19, Team Gwen was crowned the winner when Carter Rubin was named that season's champion.

"I think my win was due to Gwen's coaching, she's phenomenal," Carter shared with the abovementioned outlet.

"I'm just so grateful and so blessed because there's been so many incredibly talented singers this season. I was just thinking back to literally a year ago...

"...I was watching Gwen Stefani on TV and I was joking about it with my family, like, 'Imagine that I get on the show and get to work with her and sing a duet with her,' and literally, my dreams came true.

"It means everything and more. I'm a huge fan of the show, I've been watching the show forever."
