PREP ROUNDUP: Mosley takes straight-set win over Arnold

PANAMA CITY BEACH — Mosley snapped a two-game losing skid by taking a three-set win over Arnold on Thursday night: 25-17, 26-24, 25-9. 

With the win, the Dolphins improved to 7-5 overall and 2-0 in District 1-5A play. The Marlins fell to 4-5 on the season and 0-1 in district.

Marley Middlebrooks led Mosley with 13 kills to go with eight digs, followed by Alysia Fingall with 11 kills, and Kumara Flangain with five kills. Fingall and Haile Hallmon tied for the team lead with 18 digs, while Flanagain had a team-best six blocks. 

Hallmon led with six aces, with Fingall and Jordan Iferd adding four aces each. Iferd also led the way with 15 assists. 

Mosley will next play at Chiles on Saturday in a doubleheader against Chiles and Lincoln. Arnold will return to action Wednesday at home against Fort Walton Beach. 

Bay 3, Chipley 1

CHIPLEY — The Tornadoes took their second straight win: 19-25, 25-18, 25-22, 25-17 to improve to 3-2 on the season. 

Alexandra Johnson led Bay High with 13 kills, followed by Aislyn White with 10 kills, and Abigail Willis and Rickena McClennon with eight kills each. McClennon also had four blocks and Johnson had four aces. 

Kailey Cook was the top playmaker for Bay with 45 assists. She also added three aces. The Tornadoes will next play Thursday at South Walton. 

Bozeman 3, PSJ 0

SAND HILLS — The Bucks won their third consecutive match: 25-5, 25-17, 25-11 to improve to 6-2 on the season. 

Makenzie Jones led Bozeman with nine kills, followed by Hannah Fleming with seven kills. The Bucks will return to action Thursday at home against Bethlehem.
